Choosing reference photos for a felt portrait

The best reference photographs make the small, familiar details easy to see. Choose a clear image in natural light, with the eyes and face visible. If your pet has an important marking, collar or expression, include a second photo that shows it clearly.

A useful set of photos

One straight-on portrait, one image that shows their body shape or favourite pose, and one close detail are often enough. You can upload up to five photographs, and add clearer images from your order page later.
